Company and commercial law
Tanner & Taylor has a well established Company & Commercial Department with an excellent reputation and offers significant depth of expertise. We have handled a wide spectrum of transactions of varying sizes including, but not limited to: mergers and acquisitions, insolvency, partnership, business start-up, agency and distribution, intellectual property, commercial litigation, e-commerce and IT contracts, licensing and data protection.
The Companies Act 2006
This new legislation has introduced major reforms, all of which came into force in October 2009. This is of importance to anyone with their own company. We suggest that you go to www.berr.gov.uk for an update on the Act and then ask us to make sense of it all in relation to your own company!
Corporate
We regularly act on a range of corporate transactions including business and asset sales and acquisitions, incorporation of companies, drafting of shareholders' agreements, setting up joint ventures, management buyouts and various corporate finance transactions. We work in conjunction with accountants, insolvency practitioners and other professional advisers to ensure the provision of a comprehensive service.
Commercial
We have extensive experience in negotiating and drafting a wide range of commercial agreements including agency, distribution, franchise, software and other IT related agreements as well as advising on data protection and other issues which arise in the commercial business context.
How much will it cost?
Tanner & Taylor's Company & Commercial Department represents a realistic and less expensive alternative to the service offered by firms in London and the larger regional business centres. We are also conscious that small and medium sized businesses often have limited budgets for legal costs. We will target our legal advice to the areas of most importance to your particular business.
